What is P3?
P3 stands for Pathogens, Parasites, and Pests- the three biggest threats to aquarium health. The P3 Analysis Kit is an advanced environmental DNA (eDNA) testing solution specifically designed to detect hundreds of harmful eukaryotes species in your aquarium from a simple water sample.
The process
The Technology
P3 uses advanced metagenomics technology to identify the DNA from organisms present in your aquarium. Traditional methods of pathogens, parasites, and pests detection relies on visual inspection, meaning the infection or infestation is already severe.
Our lab uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatics to identify even the smallest traces of harmful organisms.
